After The Flood

Tia Chucha's Cafe Cultural in the East San Fernando Valley will hold a special community forum on the situation following the Katrina hurricane disaster. Titled After The Flood: A Discussion of post-Katrina America, the forum encourages individuals and community groups to participate in formulating strategies to meet the crisis. Who is to blame for the death and devastation? If people died simply because they were poor, why were they poor in the first place? Has Hurricane Katrina permanently changed the political landscape in the United States? What role will culture play in the aftermath? Come out and talk. Bring your pain, your passion, your thoughts and your visions. All are invited. This community forum takes place on Sunday, September 11th, 3 to 5 pm. Tia Chucha's Cafe Cultural. 12737 Glenoaks Blvd. #22 Sylmar CA. Phone: 818-362-7060. Web: www.tiachucha.com
